Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
My blog today is from Revelation 5:12-13 "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain. Amen". It touches on prayer, we need to labor in prayer, before we close with Amen. Get to know "how to pray", please read through the blog:
My tribute dwells on prayer, my prayer and her prayer about 18 years ago.
That time, money was getting more scarce. Starting latter part of 2000, I had difficulty getting work and that would be until 2005. During that period, I developed psychosomatic depression.
I was starting to default on the housing loan amortization. I was not sure how Patty would enrol for college. My consolation, all our children were quite doing well in school.
It was 2002, our eldest daughter Vannie, by God's grace, had started college at Ateneo on free tuition. Patty would start college the following year, age gap is one and a half years.
Given my situation, I prayed for college scholarship for Patty, including possibly at Ateneo for her to be together with our eldest. It was praying for the seeming impossible. God in His amazing grace, granted my prayer, Patty went to Ateneo on free tuition.
It must be when Patty started at Ateneo taking up Applied Mathematics that she got wind that our house was about to be foreclosed by the bank, I having defaulted on amortization. My wife Marlou would mention to me, Patty was bothered, "ganun na lang ba yun", we would lose our house. Patty's prayer for sure was for God not to let it happen. God answered her prayer, in His amazing grace, a family friend bought our house; the family was moving out of Fernando Airbase due to retirement. God's grace allowed us to pay all our debts.
Also around that time, we got some cash settlement from College Assurance Plan (CAP), which years earlier started having difficulty meeting obligations. It was through the help of the parent of a college classmate of Patty that we got money from CAP.
God's grace is indeed amazing, immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine. Amen.
I am grateful to God for restoring my life and my health, seeing Patty finish college, get married; I am blessed with my son-in-law Coco @Coco Paler and their 2-year old daughter Eisha, and they got their own house.
God's grace is truly amazing in the life of Patty.
