“Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.” Exodus 6:7

Exodus 6
2 God also said to Moses, “I am the Lord.
3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the Lord I did not make myself fully known to them.
5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.”

Moses suffers trouble with faltering lips.

“Therefore, say to the Israelites: ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.”
Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.
Now when the Lord spoke to Moses in Egypt,
he said to him, “I am the Lord. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I tell you.”
But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?” Exodus 6:6, 9, 28-30

Moses suffers trouble with a faltering heart.

The Israelite overseers realized they were in trouble when they were told, “You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day.”
When they left Pharaoh, they found Moses and Aaron waiting to meet them,
and they said, “May the Lord look on you and judge you! You have made us obnoxious to Pharaoh and his officials and have put a sword in their hand to kill us.”
Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me?
Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all.” Exodus 5:19-23

Moses faltered with his lips and with his heart before the Pharaoh maybe because of the memory that he killed an Egyptian (Exodus 2:14) years ago that he had to escape to Midian.

falter verb

2: to speak brokenly or weakly : STAMMER
her voice faltered
3a: to hesitate in purpose or action : WAVER
he never faltered in his determination
b: to lose drive or effectiveness
the business was faltering

Have you been in a situation that you faltered?

Men who falter could be considered weak.

Moses faltered yet the Lord would use him mightily to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.

2 Corinthians 12
10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Those were the very words of Apostle Paul, God's messenger of the gospel of Jesus Christ to us Gentiles or non-Jews.

There was a time more than 17 years ago that I faltered. My lips were trembling, I shied away from talking with people, with family and friends. I had no stable employment, unable to provide for my family, moreso for the college education of my children.

My heart was faltering, I was restless and sleepless. My body was groaning due to severe abdominal spasms. I did not know what to do.

Gone were the memories that I was physically strong and full of confidence.

The Lord restored my health and my life. I am alive to this day to share the good news of the saving knowledge in Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 2
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.

""My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me" (Isaiah 21:4). "I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears" (Psalm 34:4). "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him" (Psalm 28:7). This is my prayer, in Jesus' name. Amen.
