133. Wala ka sa Lolo ko. For him, Jesus, the Lamb of God, is Lord of lords and King of kings.

Lord of lords and King of kings.

Revelation 17
14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Lord.

I looked up the NIV Bible, first "Lord God" is in Genesis 2:4.

Adam and Eve

Genesis 2
4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.

First "Lord" is in Genesis 4:1, then in Genesis 4:3.

Cain and Abel

Genesis 4
1 Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man.”
3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord.

Elohim is the general name for God and is used in the context of God as creator. It emphasizes that God is distant and powerful. It is used to describe God as the awesome and majestic creator. In our English Bibles, Elohim is translated as God.

Yahweh (the LORD) is God's personal name and is used in the context of God having a relationship with His people. When God goes about creating humanity, it is Yahweh who does this act. When the Lord is personally involved with His people, Yahweh is the proper way to designate Him. In our English Bibles Yahweh is translated as the LORD with all capital letters."

I grew up learning the Lord's prayer, calling God our Father in heaven.

Now, I would pray calling God, Lord.

In my long period of affliction, I was led to read the whole Book of Psalms.

The verse in Psalms that rendered me crying the first time I read it.

Psalm 118
18 The Lord has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.

Among the first praise songs that spoke to my heart.

My Jesus, my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love
My comfort, my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Proverbs 19
21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

My plans were simple, to have a decent job, a modest house, an economical vehicle, to send children through college.

I reached age 40 with plans going on schedule. Until come the next 5 years, I did not have a stable job, the house was at the risk of being foreclosed by the bank, the cars had to be sold, and the college education of my children hanging.

I will say, I had plans in my heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

I came to know Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my personal Lord and Savior. He restored my life and my health. He made a way where there seems to be no way for my 3 children to attend college. The Lord has been so good all these years to me and to my family.

The words of Apostle Paul.

Pray for All Men

1 Timothy 2 NKJV
1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

If I may enjoin you to pause for a moment and pray for our government leaders and those in authority to hear the heartbeat of God, to seek His wisdom, and for them to put importance to their solemn oath of public service.

There is power in prayer. In my personal spiritual life, I cannot say where I am if I did not come to the saving knowledge in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.

Sharing my prayer, part of my reflection 7 November 2017.

"Lord, I "Give thanks to the God of gods." I "Give thanks to the God of heaven." I "Give thanks to the Lord of lords: to him who alone does great wonders, who by his understanding made the heavens, who spread out the earth upon the waters." I "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good" (Psalm 136:2, 26, 3-6, 1). I "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever" (Psalm118:1). This I pray in Jesus' name. Amen."

Someday my children's children will say, wala ka sa Lolo ko; for him, Jesus, the Lamb of God, is Lord of lords and King of kings.

May you be blessed with God's Word.

Maraming salamat.
