Luke 3
6 “‘And all people will see God’s salvation.’”

Luke 3
John the Baptist Prepares the Way
4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
    make straight paths for him.
5 Every valley shall be filled in,
    every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
    the rough ways smooth.
6 And all people will see God’s salvation.’”

Isaiah 40
3 A voice of one calling:
“In the wilderness prepare
    the way for the Lord;
make straight in the desert
    a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be raised up,
    every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
    the rugged places a plain.
5 And the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
    and all people will see it together.
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
11 He tends his flock like a shepherd:
    He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;
    he gently leads those that have young.

Covid pandemic. Let me share something I wrote 17 August 2020.

We are going into six months under quarantine.

One graphic shows astronaut suit by October, another one says, May The Force be with us, ala Star Wars by December.

There are many literatures on the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.

Covid pandemic shall come to pass.

2 Corinthians 4
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Dear Friend, take heart.....
‘And all people will see God’s salvation.’ Luke 3:6 Amen.

God's salvation.

Sola fide.

The doctrine of sola fide asserts God's pardon for guilty sinners is granted to and received through faith alone, excluding all "works" (good deeds).

God, the faith holds, sent his only son, in human form, to be reborn in all mankind so through Jesus Christ alone (solus Christus) sinners may receive pardon (justification), which is received solely through faith.

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the "saving of human beings from sin and its consequences, which include death and separation from God" by Christ's death and resurrection, and the justification following this salvation.

Christ's righteousness, sola fide, is imputed (or attributed) by God to sinners coming to a state of true, loving belief.” (Wikipedia)

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Apostle Paul, Ephesians 2:8-9)

The strong can say he can save himself with no need of help from others.

What about the meek saving the strong. Here's a story of a man during a war who without a gun saved seventy-five soldiers some of whom called him a coward and ridiculed his faith.

He was called “one of the bravest persons alive,” but he wasn’t what others expected. Desmond Doss was a soldier who declined to carry a gun. As a medic, he single-handedly rescued seventy-five injured soldiers in one battle, including some who once called him a coward and ridiculed him for his faith. Running into heavy gunfire, Desmond prayed continually, “Lord, please help me get one more.” He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism.

It matters to everyone when will the covid pandemic be over.

But for the moment, everyone should ponder on what matters most, yes indeed, it matters most: God's salvation.

I have put my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ 16 years ago. He restored my health, He restored my life, He did not give me over to death. I accepted Him as my personal Lord and Savior.

No one is righteous (Romans 3:10,23).

The good news, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Someday, my children's children will say, wala ka sa Lolo ko, he will see God's salvation. Amen.

May you be blessed.

Maraming salamat.
