249. Sovereign Lord, remember me: Truly I tell you, you will be with me in paradise.

6 February 2022
“Sovereign Lord, remember me.”

Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.” Judges 16:28

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”
Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:42-43

The redemption story of the criminal who chose to believe that Jesus is Christ, shows us that even in the last moments of life we can still choose to believe and accept Jesus as our Savior.

However, we don’t always know when that last moment will come and you may not have the chance to decide then. Now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” There is no sin too big that God can’t forgive.

Everyone of us must choose for ourselves who Jesus is.

In Matthew 16:15, Jesus asked the disciples, “Who do you say I am?” And He’s asking you the same question today. How will you answer?" From wellspringchristianministries website/luke-2342-grace-changes-everything/

We will probably not seek God's presence in the pink of health, in the comfort of life, in the peak of success. We don't need the help of others at those times.

You may want to meditate on the lyrics of the song "Lord Remember Me" by Chip Davis.

Three crosses stood upon a hill against a darkened sky
People came from
miles around to watch the Savior die
Crucified on Calvary between two common thieves
One of them said save Yourself and one remember me

Chorus
He said Lord remember me.
Lord remember me
When you go into Your kingdom
Lord remember me

Verse 2
There's a lesson to be learned in these simple words
Today you'll be in Paradise the dying sinner heard
Lofty prayers and golden deeds could never save his soul
Simple faith in Jesus Christ was enough to make him whole

This is profound. Lofty prayers and golden deeds could never save his soul.
Simple faith in Jesus Christ was enough to make him whole.

""Lord, I have heard of your fame;
    I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord.
Repeat them in our day,
    in our time make them known;
    in wrath remember mercy" (Habakkuk 3:2). This I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

20 March 2018"

May you you be blessed with God's Word.

Maraming salamat.
