Unfaithful.

Joshua 7
1 But the Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Karmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.

Romans 3
10 As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one.”
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 
24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

O Come All Ye Faithful.

Surely that's a Christmas song.

O Come, All You Unfaithful.

Have you heard this song?

Unfaithful.

When I was to post the top verses on fb, I checked the add music menu on fb my story and typed "unfaithful" on the search box, I came about said song, then check it on YouTube and googled its lyrics.

No doubt it's a Christmas song. Indeed, one with a very powerful message: Christ is born for you.

Earlier, when I looked at my previous reflection on Joshua 7:1, I was thinking I would have difficulty getting a song on fb add music (as I have been doing), much more to relate it with Christmas. It proved otherwise.

Christmas is indeed for the faithful.




Faithless: Ignorance. Unbelief.

1 Timothy 1
13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 
14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

God's love. His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Enjoining that this be our response.

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you-- I whom you have redeemed. (Psalm 71:23 paraphrase)

The Lord is waiting on each one of us. O come, all you unfaithful.

Christ is born. Christ is born for you. Christ is born for you and me.
