Tribute to our Senior Pastor, Rev. Clem Guillermo, Proclaim His Name Christian Fellowship pcf.org.ph.
Double Portion. Double Honor.
2 Kings 2:8 Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.
9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied.
10 "You have asked a difficult thing," Elijah said, "yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours-- otherwise not."
11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.
12 Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.
13 He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.
14 Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it. "Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?" he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.
1 Timothy 5:17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.
Lord, here are our Pastors, Pastor Al, Pastor Bernie, Pastor Jason and Pastor Ian, here are our Elishas, the prophets left behind by our Elijah, our dear Pastor Clem.
Pastor Clem left a great legacy, a very tough act to follow. By our prayer and Your anointing, Lord, let our pastors inherit a double portion of our Elijah's spirit.
Elijah was a man who heard the voice of God, he was a prayer warrior, he was a bearer of God's miracles, he hated and confronted evil, he was taken up to heaven, he left a legacy.
Pastor Clem walked in spirit of Elijah. After Pastor Clem's first treatment from cancer, his Sunday message was clear, from the words of Apostle Paul: I am a bond servant of God. His last message was from the words of Joshua: As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Elijah said to Elisha, 2 Kings 2:10 "You have asked a difficult thing, yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours...", that is double portion of Elijah's spirit.
Our pastors saw Pastor Clem in the days he was taken up, they may had struggled with the challenge to walk in the steps of Pastor Clem. Let them struck the water, let the Jordan River be divided to the right and to the left, and let them cross over. Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, say the Lord Almighty.
Lord, we pray, let the life and ministry of Pastor Clem live on.....and continue to inspire Pastor Al, Pastor Bernie, Pastor Jason and Pastor Ian.
We pray for Pastor Al as he takes the overall lead, especially the spiritual and discipleship direction.
We pray for Pastor Bernie as he continues to volunteer in the ministry, like the Sunday school in Mariblo.
We pray for Pastor Jason, as he reminisces his time being alongside Pastor Clem, when he recounts those precious moments in his Sunday messages.
We pray for Pastor Ian being tasked to minister to the young people, the challenge to gear up young men and women, the future of our church.
Lord, we pray for the men You have set apart, the pastors You have called to be shepherds of our church, we pray for them double portion, we pray for them double honor, we pray for them double blessing, we pray for them for health and wealth, we pray for their families; let the people of God say, Amen.
