Offering of Thanksgiving.

Leviticus 7
12 “‘If they offer it as an expression of thankfulness, then along with this thank offering they are to offer thick loaves made without yeast and with olive oil mixed in, thin loaves made without yeast and brushed with oil, and thick loaves of the finest flour well-kneaded and with oil mixed in. 
13 Along with their fellowship offering of thanksgiving they are to present an offering with thick loaves of bread made with yeast.’”

Philippians 4
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.


Our Dear Pastor Clem Guillermo would say offering of thanksgiving to God is living a life of gratitude to the Lord for His goodness, that's thanksliving.

Rejoice always, 
pray continually, 
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Apostle Paul said we are to give thanks in all circumstances, not just when our circumstances are favorable.



Thanksliving is:
1. An attitude rooted and anchored by faith in God. 
2. Contagious proclamation. One cannot help but tell people about God Who is the true source of joy.
3. Permanent. No circumstance or condition can defeat it—ever. Even in the midst of deep sorrow, pain and affliction thanksliving is both possible and appropriate.  
4. Centered, rooted, fed and focused on Christ Jesus. Without Him it is impossible to attain.
5. A mindset of contentment and peace regardless of external circumstances.
6. An obedient response to the will of God that becomes a glory offering.
7. Hopeful—one day we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken!

Thanksgiving is a holiday set aside to remind us that we should be grateful for God’s provisions. 

Thanksliving is a daily state that marks us as children of an awesome Father.” From firstcause website/blog/thanksliving

“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 
Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:9-11

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Because of God's love, we can start living the eternal life here on earth as it will be in heaven by living a life with gratitude in our hearts. It's a life worth living. Amen.
