139. Wala ka sa Lolo ko. For him, if not for Noah we would not come to being.

Genesis 7
1 The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
Genesis 6
12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.
Today the earth is corrupt in God's sight and full of violence.
2 Timothy 3
1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,
4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—
5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.
Full of violence.
Let's dwell on this topic on personal level.
Apostle Paul was once a blasphemer and a violent man.
1 Timothy 1
13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.
Violence because of ignorance and unbelief.
The Lord’s Grace to Paul
1 Timothy 1
14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
The life of Apostle Paul is testimony of the Christian faith.
He professed healing through faith in Jesus Christ.
Acts 14
8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked.
9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed
10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
He confronted idol worship.
Acts 17
16 While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols.
22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.
23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.
24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.
Apostle Paul's Call to Prayer.
1 Timothy 2 NASB
1 First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made in behalf of all people,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
7 For this I was appointed as a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Faith in Jesus Christ is a personal decision; not to be corrupt and to disown violence are a personal decision.
Let's pray for God's mercy for people who are corrupt and who resort to violence because of ignorance and unbelief.
The faith of Apostle Paul is testament to God's mercy.
1 Timothy 1
16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
Going back to Noah.
Hebrews 11
7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.
The faith of Noah saved humanity from God's wrath.
Ephesians 2
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
"Wala ka sa Lolo ko. For him, if not for Noah we would not come to being." This my children's children will say one day.
May you be blessed with God's Word.
Maraming salamat.
God is merciful. Sinfulness of men is also very evident in present times and our God is not pleased; thus the pandemic we have now to shake the whole world. Time to acknowledge the one true God, to repent and live a life honoring Him.
