Hebrews 7
25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

Let me share my reflection 16 October 2017.

""What is impossible with man is possible with God."

Who can be saved?

The Rich and the Kingdom of God
Luke 18
22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy.
24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

Luke 18
26 Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?”

Luke 21
The Widow’s Offering
2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
4 “All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

False Teachers and the Love of Money
1 Timothy 6
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Matthew 6
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

The moral.
Matthew 6
33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Luke 18
27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

"Lord, I know I must not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14). Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts (Psalm 139:23). Lord, I claim I "have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being" (Hebrews 8:1-2). My Lord and Savior, I praise You, in Jesus' name. Amen.""

"COLGATE - Man Of Faith

For most of us, COLGATE products form a part of the daily life. Others would certainly have seen these items at the general stores.

But have you ever thought that the mint-flavored white paste that you squeeze out of the tube every morning has something to tell you?

"William Colgate (January 25, 1783 – March 25, 1857) was an English-American soap industrialist who founded in 1806 what became the Colgate-Palmolive company.

The Rev. William Parkinson, pastor of the First Baptist church in New York, baptized him in February, 1808. Colgate became a deacon.

During the later days of his life he revealed the origin of his devotion to the idea of tithing. When he was sixteen years old he left home to find employment in New York City. He had previously worked in a soap manufacturing shop. When he told the captain of the canal boat upon which he was traveling that he planned to make soap in New York City, the man gave him this advice: ‘Someone will soon be the leading soap maker in New York. You can be that person. But you must never lose sight of the fact that the soap you make has been given to you by God. Honor Him by sharing what you earn. Begin by tithing all you receive.’

William Colgate felt the urge to tithe because he recognized that God was the giver of all that he possessed, not only of opportunity, but even of the elements which were used in the manufacture of his products." (From Wikipedia)

The Greatest Commandment
Matthew 22
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’”

"Wala ka sa Lolo ko. As for him, what is impossible with man is possible with God", this my children's children will someday utter.

Be blessed.

Maraming salamat.
