Hebrews 2
9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
Let share my reflection 13 October 2017.
"Hebrews 2
6 But there is a place where someone has testified:
“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
a son of man that you care for him?
The above verse must have referred to passages in the Old Testament.
The Glory of the Lord in Creation
Psalm 8
A Psalm of David.
3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
David, the man after God's own heart, had nothing but reverence for the LORD.
David’s Prayer
2 Samuel 7
18 Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said:
“Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
19 And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign Lord, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant—and this decree, Sovereign Lord, is for a mere human!
Humility, the way of God.
Hebrews 2
3 how shall we escape if we ignore so great a salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
"Yahweh, "How great You are, Sovereign LORD! There is no one like You, and there is no God but You, as I have heard with my own ears. Sovereign LORD, You are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised good things to me, Your servant. Now be pleased to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever in Your sight; for You, Sovereign LORD, have spoken, and with Your blessing the house of Your servant will be blessed forever" (2 Samuel 7:22, 28-29). You are glorified always and forever, highest praise and honor are Yours, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Humility, the way of God.
In the Old Testament, God is long-suffering.
Jeremiah 15
15 Lord, you understand;
remember me and care for me.
Avenge me on my persecutors.
You are long-suffering—do not take me away;
think of how I suffer reproach for your sake.
Humility, God's amazing love for the unfaithful.
The other day, we watched via YouTube "Amazing Love: The Story of Hosea."
Hosea 13
14 “I will deliver this people from the power of the grave;
I will redeem them from death.
Where, O death, are your plagues?
Where, O grave, is your destruction?”
Hosea 14
4 “I will heal their waywardness
and love them freely,
for my anger has turned away from them.”
In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant.
Imitating Christ’s Humility
Philippians 2
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Be blessed.
Maraming salamat.
