The Lord is the True God; He is the Living God. Jeremiah 10:10
Galatians 1
9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
Let me share what I wrote 22 September 2017.
“Here is a rundown on the life of Apostle Paul after his encounter with the Lord Jesus after His resurrection.
Galatians 1
17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.
18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days.
Galatians 2
1 Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also.
This must refer to Apostle Paul's other intimate encounter with the Lord Jesus:
2 Corinthians 12
2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows.
The grace of God defined the work of Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles or the non-Jews.
Galatians 2
2 “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
“Lord, Your word says, Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
Lord, there had been a time that things were great I should say; I was doing well at work and able to provide for grade school and high school of our children, how a breadwinner wants for his family. Then, things changed and developed for the worst for me financially, physically and spiritually, things turned to make no sense, became meaningless. It was a dead end I thought; I now realize it was a detour, Lord, You designed it for me to learn and experience first hand Your amazing grace.
You, Lord, showed Your faithfulness, providing for my family's needs when I was not earning. Lord, I will speak of Your lovingkindness all my life, this I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.””
Psalm 147
11 The Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.
We can get over our anxiety by putting hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
From Our Daily Bread,
The Release of Fear By: Amy Boucher Pye
“Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid. (Mark 6:50).
Our bodies react to our feelings of dread and fear. A weight in the pit of our stomachs, along with our hearts pounding as we gulp for breath, signal our sense of anxiety. Our physical nature keeps us from ignoring these feelings of unease.
When we’re feeling breathless with anxiety, we can rest assured in Jesus’s power. Whether He calms our waves or strengthens us to face them, He will give us the gift of His peace that “transcends all understanding” (Philippians 4:7). And as He releases us from our fears, our spirits and our bodies can return to a state of rest.”
Someday my children's children will say, wala ka sa Lolo ko; for him, to fear God is the duty of all mankind.
"I will be your God through all your lifetime, yes, even when your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and be your Savior." Isaiah 46:4 (The Living Bible)
May you find encouragement with the Word of the Lord.
Maraming salamat.
